Anyone else intrigued by others on here?
Is it just me or is anyone else amazed/intrigued by some of the things others have or say on these forums?
For me, I am blown away to read about one using their C6 as a daily driver and have a lambo in the garage as their "toy" car.
I realize that not everything that is posted online is true but even reading an old thread about who has a rolex makes me even more curious as to whether its a CEO of a huge corporation typing a reply or a blue collar worker just google searching an image and saying its his.

I'm not a CEO, have neither a Lambo or a Rolex, and don't use a C6 as my daily driver . . . . So, I must be cooler in person than I am online

I wouldn't say I am amazed or intrigued by what members post. I do admit I find some of the post a little over the top, such as the Rolex watch post. But that is what you come to expect in today's world. You can be what every you want on the internet. Not saying that all those that posted do not own Rolex watches, but then again maybe as already stated Google is your friend.
There will always be those post that the OP seems to want to flaunt there wealth and power, but in many cases that is all make believe. It is the same as the mod police on the forum. You know the ones I am talking about. The ones that come on and start a thread about how ugly of a Corvette they just saw, because the owner had the nerve to modify it. Or the ones that come on a post an put the op down for showing a picture of the recent mod even though the OP makes it clear that he/she is not asking for opinions.
But as we all know, this is an open forum and if you post, you better be ready to take what may come your way.

I think a lot of what is posted is true, but not understood by some. many small business owners, on up to ceo's of corporations do quite well. as far as a rolex or a fancy car, they are easily attainable. as an example, many small business men and ceo's live a fairly modest life in comparison to their salaries. this is due to uncertainty what the future will hold. so they live modestly through a fiscal year, then near then end when projections are in, take draws or bonuses and go for the extras.
if for example you wait until say the tenth month of the fiscal then take a six figure bonus, an 8000 watch isnt a big deal. one for the wife at say five k is just an addendum. that is how many small business guys operate....

there is a commercial with a girl talking to her friend and she says she saw something on the internet.when he asked her if she believed it she said everything on the internet is true. she was waiting for her french actor she met on line. here comes the guy(dork with the beard) and he says "bon Jour". it is exactly what is posted sometime. i don't have a Rolex but do have a "Canal." If you live in NYC and go downtown by Canal Street/Mott St in China Town the venders sell great watches for about $10. If you need to impress somebody then you don't have squat. I have my Vette, born in the bronx, veteran, and John Wayne is my hero. NO Complaints.

The longer you're on this site you can kinda get a feel for who's the real deal and who's not...

Craziest thing I saw was a few months ago a member here posted a pic of some F-117s and I believe an F-18 if I remember correctly, he said they just flew over his house...well after a few pages someone had their suspicions and found the pic online and the whole damn post was bogus....why someone would lie about fighters flying over their house is bizarre, just wanted some attention I guess...

No.
Several good things have happened to me lately, so I don't have time to be too intrigued about some other forum members.

I'm guessing this forum is just like any other forum, full of Truth, BS and the like. Me personally I'm just a average middle class guy, 56 YRS old with nothing to prove and nothing to hide and just happy to be part of the corvette experience.
