Looking for help on cat back exhaust 2005 C6
I just bought this last Saturday. It sounds like grandma's four-cylinder toy yo-yo don't sound like a Corvette should. Any help on picking a system would be appreciated, especially if anyone has a video of the sound. It's a stock motor factory exhaust no NPP. I'm looking at this one right now due to the price.

Any help would be appreciated. It's been 43 years since I've owned a corvette at 69 years old. I just couldn't wait any longer. Many thanks.

My suggestion is go listen to several Corvettes who have aftermarket exhaust or go to the manufacturers websites and listen (wont do them justice but gives you a good idea). I would not buy one strictly based on price. You could pay $$$$$ for it and not like it, then what do you do???
You don't say where you are, but chances are there may be a Corvette Club close by who would be willing to let you listen to an array of different exhausts. Good luck.

You should be sure what Model Year/Generation your car is. The title of the thread says "cat back exhaust 2000 C6" MY 2000 was a C5. C6 started with MY 2005.
Your profile is not complete so no help there.

I have no experience with the exhaust system you are considering.......perhaps the vendor could give you some sound clips of this exhaust on the type/year of corvette you've purchased. Make sure the clip is from a car with engine and exhaust system exactly like your car when judging sound..... Highway speed drone is something you might want to avoid.

I'm running B&B Fusions and with the NPP function they are great on the highway in the closed position.

Here is my 2006 coupe with the Corsa Sport only. The rest of the exhaust is stock. I think it sounds like a Corvette should.

Make sure you know what drone is and if you can take the sound or not. Don't make the mistake I did. I installed a system that had really loud drone. It drove me crazy and after a year I went back to stock. I got lucky and sold the after market system for half price and lost $700. It was a Zoomers system and they don't make it any longer.

From videos they sent they sound pretty good, and the price is nice. Since I won't drive this Corvette, 300 miles a year as I also have 3 musclecar classics and 4 motorcycles.

Spend the money for a Corsa, Hence no drone!!!!
But keep in mind that your not going to gain HP with the Corsa system, only a tone/little louder change instead.
If your looking for HP, then headers with a X pipe to the mufflers instead. Little louder with still no drone, and you will pick up around 40hp with a tune (tune will give you about 10hp, and the headers will give you the extra 30 on a LS2 or LS3).

Thanks I lived in Dallas for 53 years just hoping I could find one little closer. I just googled it and there is a Corvette club in Abilene.
