I never let a little snow, mud, or dirt/gravel roads stop me from experiencing some great drives.
The girl in shorts by the elevation sign in the background didn't stay outside very long either.

Thanks for the pictures!

It's already snowed up there twice in the last month.

I completely forgot about it being paved as well. I need to take a quick jaunt up there soon.

BTW. They do a brake temp check about half way down. If you're too hot you have to pull into the visitors center for 20 or 30 minutes. Don't ride your brakes.

Pics from Colorado Springs in 2011 and heading to the top of Pikes Peak in the old Vette before it was paved from Crystal Resv to the top. Brakes were cool at the check point because it was mostly 1st gear all the way down.

Went up today with the wife to try for a "Chris Shot" of the car at the top, what a great day! (Except the photo shoot)
Watch out for the parking ***** when you try to get a photo like Chris has of your car at the front of the marker. Thought we were going to be in trouble when I pulled in front and the wife actually had about 2 seconds to squeeze the shot before I had to move the car. Wow are they picky! Chris who do you know up there?

We had three cars lined up for photos and weren't bothered at all. The fact that I was open carrying may have had something to do with it.

Thx for the pix! Great shots. The car is lookin'
good, especially that top!

Open carry would do it...
