I'm fairly new here too. I was able to get lots of good advice and information here including the source for the best deal on my car.

Buying a new Vette as a retirement present to yourself?

I like your style!!!

Don't forget to wave at all those other Vettes you pass as you are enjoying retirement.

Welcome. We live in Camden, SC and I work at Fort Jackson, so we are practically neighbors.

It's probably to late for you to make travel plans, but the annual "Corvettes at Carlisle", Carlisle, PA is next weekend. It is sort of the "Mecca" for Corvette owners and we plan on making the pilgrimage this year.

Good luck, beautiful car!

BTW, did you buy from a local dealer? I got mine at Wilson Chevrolet. First class guys up there. I recommend them...

Wow, you all have really made both my wife and I feel very welcome. Thank you all for this, really does mean a lot. I have a spinal injury from service and was retired at the age of 30 and am now 35. The injury and chronic pain make it hard to live a normal life hence the early retirement so the Internet/forums are a great source of outside contact for me.

I'm glad to know this forum has such a great bunch of people. I've always had mustangs so I'm a blank canvas or a sponge waiting to soak up all the knowledge I can about Corvettes and the culture of this forum and groups/clubs.

Again, thank you all from both my wife and I. God bless and good health to you all

Purchased ours in Lugoff from Heritage. I did speak to many dealerships and your right the guys at Wilson don't play games and are honest and efficient. Unfortunately only Love Chevy and Heritage had what we were looking for in the end.

Love Chevy in west Columbia still has theirs, it's a Black on Ebony GS 3LT. Good price and great Internet sales manager at Love Chevy , beautiful car too

I use the service department at Heritage (five minutes from my house). They are very attentive and I get a chance to talk cars with the salesmen while I am waiting. Gotta love a small dealership...

Welcome to the world of Corvette crazies! Enjoy that GS...it's a great car! You'll have more fun and more compliments than you ever imagined.

By the way Carlisle is a place you'll to go at least once.
