Recommendations for Removable Front License Plate
I am caving in and need to purchase a removable front license plate. Just sick of getting tickets. (Need front lic in NY) any suggestions and link would be very helpful and appreciated. Please let me know if it was easy to install. Thank you!

If looks are important to you, Top Flight (removable) is the best...by far. Others may be a bit easier to remove but they mount to the side or higher up and look like hell

hey sarge, if you're interested, i have the top flight removable front plate kit (http://www.topflightrepro.com/corvet...brackets.shtml) that i never installed because i put the curb alert in the middle where this goes. It has everything that came included from top flight. If ordered from them it's about $130 with shipping. If you want it i'll take $105 even, including usps shipping. It would get to you in 1-2 days. For $10 more than the non-removable one it is worth it IMO. It's just two wing nuts to take off/put on.... Like i said, this is brand new, and never installed.
I can email you a pic if interested..

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but let's include matching body color license plate frames in this hunt. I will be ordering the Top Flite removable bracket soon, but their price of $97 each for the color-matching frames is a bit painful.

To be exact, this is what i did: Victory red color match spray paint from auto store, 3 coats waiting 20-30 minutes between each coat. After third coat i waited at least 2 hours for it to dry fully (the longer the better). Then 2-3 coats of clear, waiting 20-30 minutes between each coat, then waited a few hours to fully dry. I don't remember cause it's been a while if i wet sanded and waxed after last coat of clear fully dried (i know i did that for my 4 side marker lights, but not 100% about the plate holder.....)

I made my own.
1/32 x 1" wide cres, tig welded 1/4-20 stud with threaded T6 spacer, adhere w/3M tape to top above egg crate for license plate bracket. License plate bracket is made out of T6 aluminum, using cres wing nuts for quick attachment to 1/4" studs.
