Default How many of you driving at night get flashed brights

I have had my car out at night...I have had many cars flashing their lights on bright to signal me to change to dims.....problem they already are on dim..is it the HIDs?...maybe I need to adjust them down..

How many of you are experiencing the same?

I hate p*ssing off people..

The headlamps are properly set at the factory. Others can flash all they want. The HIDs do have higher intensity that sealed beams or halogens.

I do know that some of these newer cars have lights that blind the heck out of me, and they're not even the "brights". Making it worse, there are some aftermarket companies that are coming out with lights that equal 10 'suns' lol. I just try to look down and to the right. Of course some of them might be flashing you to warn you of LEO's up ahead.

You can dial them downward a little bit, especially the driver's side.

Then do the 'test' where you drive down a street with parked cars and see if they're still hitting the windshields.

Happens all the time to me, especially the truckers flash me. I just leave high beams on till they flash or till im close enough they will notice then lower.

That's the right answer. The C6 is very low and has a very good light pattern and so the HIDs should never be too bright except coming over hills/bumps. You really have to point the car up into the air to get light up to a regular car's windows if they are aimed correctly. You don't need to blind other drivers so they drift into your lane to be able to see. Adjusted straight out level gives great visibility on level roads and no one complains.

Same here. BUT I could see it happening if you were traveling uphill and they came over the top at the same time. The low beams are fairly bright and the sharp cutoff may induce the other driver to flash you. I have Corvette Mods' low and high beam replacements which are much brighter, and I've never been flashed.

Never to me. Leaving your brights on until an oncoming car flashes theirs at you is simply being a dick.

It is possible that the projectors may have moved since originally aimed by factory. To ensure that they are correctly aimed, Line the car up from a wall 20-15' away.

The pattern should look like this:

If your car has had suspension or lowering modifications, your vertical adjustment may need to be lower than pictured.
