Need help with sell or not sell
I just got my hands on a '07 vert. It's red with tan interior. 3LT with all the goodies, even the Z51 handling pkg, paddle shift, etc.. It only has 9500 miles on it. I can't decide whether to sell it and buy a later model (like a 2012 vert), trade it and some cash for a later model, or simply drive it. I figure because of the low mileage it is worth more now than it ever will be with more miles on it, but on the other hand, if I keep it, it might not depreciate as fast as a later model. My question to you guys is whether or not there is enough difference in a later model to warrant getting rid of a really nice, beautiful car just to have a later model. I probably won't put a great deal of mileage on it myself so I'm leaning toward keeping it, but I'm still on the fence. What would you do ???

It's the other way around. A used '12 is currently depreciating faster than a used '07. I can't think of any financial reason to do what you propose. My advice is to buy the car you like and drive it.

Keep it unless you want to step into a C7.

Keep it. I regret selling mine. In my opinion the 08+ is not an upgrade. I've said this before but go out and open your hatch, then push it down and watch it close on it's own. Try that on a later model and see if it is self closing. I think the downfall of the economy had an effect.

Put it on autotrader and usedcorvettes for sale and see if you get any bites with big offers. Sounds like you are not overly excited about the car. The best time to sell a car is when you don't have to sell it. Good luck.

What are the circumstances? did you want it and just don't like it? was it given to you? was it one of those too good to pass up deals? do you want a new C6 or C7? or is this just a toy that you bought right?
If you don't really WANT a new one, the one you have sounds like a keeper. If however you want a new one, this is a means to step up by selling a well positioned car with low miles.

I certainly hope so. From what I've seen they've also screwed up the instrument cluster. The speedometer doesn't have numbers between 40 and 80 ... could be quite confusing since that is the normal driving range. You could well be driving 70 thinking it was 60.
