I wish I could get back 1.5 years wasted on modding my z-28. What a nightmare ownership experience all caused by myself.
Something I learned from owning sports motorcycles – it is my skill that is the limiting factor, not the machine. Just because I can add a few percent of performance increase to my machine, that does not mean I improve my skill at all.
My 2008 C6 M6 is 100% stock in drive train. I even sold the corsa that came with the vette – no need for noise pollution.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Very interesting. . . not surprised by the general response.
We've been to Barrett-Jackson and Mecum auctions many times, and the cars that are unmolested and unrestored demand top dollar. I agree. . . you need to enjoy it along the way, but, there is something special about originality.
They are awesome cars out of the box!!
Enjoy!!

As i did with my c5,The only mods im dooing to my c6 will be exhaust, x-pipe, CAI, and a tune. Those pretty much do not detract from reliability issues, and give you nicer sound, and a little more performance then stock, for not a lot of cash...

If I were to doing anything, it would be what you've listed below. My main concern is the tune. We bought her new 6/2013 and she only has about 1500 miles on the clock. I don't want to risk loosing my drivetrain warranty so soon.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Big difference between a 67 Z28 and a 2008 Corvette.

Purchased a new 2013 GS Vert and decided (for now ; ) to leave the drive train stock. I can't bring myself to void my warranty or try to improve something that is already great. My personal opinion is that a stock Corvette will always be more valuable, no matter what! I spent a ton of money on my C5, low 10's on dr's. Lost a sh$t load of money on the sale of the car for a few good days of racing.
I get it for the younger owners, but not for me.

"Originality" equates to cookie cutter and boring to many. At those same Barrett-Jackson auctions you also see highly modified cars selling for bigger bucks over bone stockers. Any vehicle is only worth what some individual is willing to pay. Thinking a bone stock C6 will ever be worth something more than what it is....is way to much wishful thinking.

Or people who have more driving talent than you, who can go fast with lots of power.
You're entitled to your own opinion, but it isn't always true. While most people are limited by their own abilities, and not that of the vehicle, there are those who are limited by what their vehicle is capable of.

Now that I have the valve dropping problem solved(new PRC265 heads), I'm good to go with 469/439. If I wanted to up the ante, I would go straight to E-Force and pick up a quick 125HP and not change the street manners.

Keeping the new Grand Sport stock.
Like some of the others, I had a C5 and went mod nuts...stroker with serious cam, bigger gear set, custom paint work, blah, blah, blah. Got to the point where it wasn't fun as a daily driver and lost all that mod money when I sold it.
Never gonna do that nonsense again.
