The c6 corvette is a great car to own. The new upcoming c7 will as well. When its time to buy another car...it will be the c7.

Impressive new update in the car in the magazines this month. The reviewers all admire the new car. Little faster, a little better handling...slightly better brakes...great pricing too

They also like the new interior so that's always a bonus.

Interesting that A LOT of the C7 hate reminds me of the transition from the C5 to C6.
  • The exposed headlights look like crap. It doesn't say CORVETTE!
  • There isn't a big enough performance increase.
  • The designer has destroyed Corvette forever!

Yes, so what's your point?

Default C7

I attended a C7 seminar in Spearfish, SD. The car looks great except for the rear end. It is comfortable and nice inside. However, the entire hour-long seminar was about the functions and gadgets available on the dash and console. Too many trinkets for me. I have enough to keep me busy just driving. Really makes the 2013 Grand Sports look good.

Like it yes, but wont purchase until they come out with something like a Z-06, ZR-1, on one year production only car, then I will consider...

We all know better is coming, probably by the 4th year of production, so why buy now when what we've got is perfectly fine?

No "gotta have it" fever here.

From what I have read, the C7 will only be a 4-5 year run. So, by the 4th year of production, the C8 may be revealed or near reveal.

All the more reason to wait if you don't love it.

If you think about the C7's run to only be 4-5 years it almost seems like it's a filler to the C8, just like the GS was to the save the C6.

I was just at Wally World a few hours ago. Stopped by the magazine section, and most auto mags like Road & Track, Car & Driver, etc., have reviews of the C7. While I certainly didn't read the entire articles, they all seem to praise, praise, praise.

Comments like, "amazing handling characteristics", and "performs on the track the same as a Grand Sport, but without the wide body, and tires", and "aluminum frame is so much stiffer".

Either the C7 is really that good, or these mags are so tight with GM, that they wouldn't say anything else.

I'm not sure I like the dash. seats look better.

I watched one C7 driving review on Youtube and the car was praised a lot and it looked like fun. However the reviewer said the handling was different then the C6 and the C7 was a car that drifted during hard cornering.

I do think the Corvette could have changed the exhaust pipes from 4 to something different if they were going to change the backend.

The same was said about the C6 when it came out.

And it probably would have happened with the C6 if not for that pesky bankruptcy thing.

I recon all that electical trinketry is aimed the younger kids who GM says they are targeting the C7 to. Yeah, the kids who have $65, 000 laying around.

I gotta run, Cougar town is on....

I hope to get one! Just can't afford it yet am saving so maybe in 2019 I'll be able to buy a 2015. I like everything about the C7 including rear end. I love round tail lights but everything else overshadows the lack of them. I still don't like the squared ones on 90's C4 or oval tail lights of the C5.

Default C7

Only if they go back to round tail lights.

I don't understand automotive design engineers, I thought the worst thing I ever saw was when Ford put a Taurus rear end on a Jaguar, until I saw the rear of a C7.

It appears the design team did the front of the C7, went to lunch and told the receptionist to finish it up.

I'll stick with my C6 !

I’ve had 3 C6’s since 2007, the last one a 2011 GS Inferno Orange 6speed convertible with the Heritage package. I had it just the way I wanted it, pfadt headers, comp cam, Vararam cold air induction, mild2wild, black chrome spyder wheels, perfect, but at 62 yrs old I was getting a little tired of shifting in the city…1st-2nd-1st 2nd, and had been thinking of trading for a 2013 GS with an Auto.

A friend asked me to go with him to a dealership in small town N.Dakota about 150 miles away to look at a 2000 Camaro. He decided not to get the camaro but he said wouldn’t it be crazy if they had a 2014 vette inside, I said fat chance but we can look. As we walked inside they had a Torch Red vert with the top down. The salesman came over and said do you like it, strangely enough although I wanted to say no but said yes. He asked if I wanted to sit in it, I wanted to say no but I said yes. Man did it feel good, I got out looked it over and liked what I saw, even the rear end looked better in person. I ended uo asking what they would take for my vette in trade, after showing him pics on my phone and telling him about it and the 11,5xx miles on the clock he said he wanted it. Longer story shortened I brought Inferno Orange C6 in and made the deal on the C7 vert and drove it home. The ride was great, quiet or rumbling with the NPP exhaust, the gauges were really cool, stereo sounded awesome and although I didn’t max out the power band it was deceivingly quick. As much as I loved my C6’s this C7 is really great. Already looking to get a DSMO 2015 C7 with Z51 option or C7 Z06 vert. I had a Atomic orange vet in 08 and loved it. Before you totally condemn the C7 sit in one, drive one see one in person. Save the wave.
