Default Delivery of a Torch Red 427 Convt 1SC/traded '12 GS Convt. Tons of pics at delivery!

Jon and Margaret had been in touch with me before they purchased their 2012 GS Heritage Convt and he found this '12 and purchased it as a keeper...then the baby girl (cute as a button) was born and the 427 Convt kept coming up in the conversation's but Jon just figured it was too late. Margaret being the most loving of wife's told him to explore the idea and test drive the 427...it took 3 visits to Criswell for him to test drive and find out that my explanation of the difference between the two Corvette's was more then the 69 HP bump!! Margaret even taped (secretly) his words as he was driving the 427 at how unbelievable the difference was and that I was dead on but that he couldn't make the jump...that is when she replayed her secret tape recording and they laughed. She knows him well and he chose wisely. I had 12 2013 427 Convt's to choose from and he was between the two Torch Red 427's, one is a 1SB and the other a 1SC...as you can see from the pictures he chose the red stitching on the 1SC as his "keeper"! Now he has a keeper Corvette to go along with his keeper wife and baby girl. They drove up 4 hrs from Forest, VA which is a small little town in Bedford County, Virginia with a population of 9,106 people...and one COOL 427 Convt!!!

Jon and I in between the new '13 and his 1,950 mile '12 that he traded.

The trade in...

The ride home!!!

1Sc pkg

And in the new owners own words...

"Mike,

First off, thank you for sharing our story.

Margaret and I have acquired 26 vehicles and it's always find what we want, get the best deal, travel to the locale, pick it up, bring it home, end of story.

We both said this was different. Buying a Corvette is special, it's the realization of dreams for many of us and you recognize that. You take the time to flush out all questions/concerns. I was torn as to old vs. new initially. Then it was GS vs. 427 and you answered everything honestly and professionally. Not only do you provide incredible service and great pricing, but, you make the acquisition an experience.

So yes, for Margaret and I this is another vehicle purchase, however, we recognize that it's something a bit more...it's the beginning of a friendship. For that, we say thank you, God Bless and we'll see you at Carlisle.

Until then, take care and be well,
Jon-Michael and Margaret "

Well, lets see here...... We have the all American experience layed out before us. A loving and understanding wife, a baby girl, a G.S. vert Corvette to trade in, a RED 427 Corvette vert to pick up, original Bowling Green factory build sheets, Criswell Chevrolet and Mike Furman.

That pretty much sums up a perfect match and delivery experience......in the rain!

Hey, Mike, are they going to add your 60th Anniversary badges to the front fender side air intake vents?!

Mike;

For those who have not seen this badging before, could you please post some pictures of those badges on some of the non-60th Anniversary Edition 427's you have sold. That is a great idea on your part.

Way to go Jon. Congrats all around.

On the 427, be brave and leave the front plate off. If you're gonna put one on check out the one made by TopFlight. Good Luck

I agree...I gave him their business card! Top flight makes the best tag bracket.
I give out at least 150 cards per yr for TF.

If memory serves me correct here, Mike took a similar C6 in trade earlier this year and immediately turned around and sold it to C.F member "Run and Gun" in Arizona. Mike shipped it via Plycar Enclosed Transport, and it arrived within the week at his door step.
