Default key fob

My key fob will not respond to driver door, but will respond to passenger door to unlock it. Whats the problem.

Most likely. Try cleaning it. just a couple of screws to take the pad out.

Try leaving the drivers door unlocked, then put the fob far away and try opening the door. If it still doesn't open, then it has nothing to do with the fob and is probably the rubber pad switch...disassemble and clean, coat contacts with a light coating of WD-40. This problem is most common in areas of high humidity.

For $15, it's cheap & easy to get a new touchpad.

Do-It-Yourself CAUTION: After you disconnect the touchpad, DO NOT LET THE WIRING FALL BACK INTO THE DOOR!!!

Not the end of the world -- just more work to retrieve the wires.

You can secure 'em with a piece of string.
