Is C6 a timeless design?

Just my opinion but I think the C6 is a timeless design and I think the C3 is as well.
I do not think the C4 or C5 are timeless, especially the C4.
The reason is that the C6 and C3 have some sexy lines to them while the C4 is pretty standard 80s techno-car and the C5 strikes the middle ground between classic and technical. The C6 almost looks a little retro to me, especially when considering the creases in the hood.

They're yesterdays news.....out with the old and in with the new.
I don't think anything will change the beauty of the C6, but after seeing a C7 in person, there's no doubt it will look dated when the C7's start showing up on the road. It is what it is......

Since the release of the C7....the base model C6 looks already looks dated, and I am not sure it will ever be a timeless being so close in design with the C5. The widebody C6s have the aggressive look to keep it looking young for now, but time will have it's toll on it once the C7 becomes more present on the roads, shows, track, and etc.

Whether or not you like the look of the C7 doesn't change the fact that it will seriously date a C6 when next to it. The edginess and design is years (literally and figuratively) beyond the C6 and more in line with current supercar design.

I agree with you on the base model only, the wide body cars and especially the 427 and ZR1 will hold their own side by side IMO. As a matter of fact I mam looking forward to doing some side by side pics with my 427 next to the new vert. To me the new car has no flow, the rear quarters are too high and the back is a clusterf$%#.

If you like busy, weird lines then the C7 is for you!! You don't see lines like that in the new 911 or F-type!! The designers went TOO far with their design and I 'll gladly keep my dated C6!

Only time will tell for sure if the C6 is "timeless."
Imo, if the C6 stands a chance at immortality, it will be the GS that does it.
Of course I'm biased, so I guess my opinion doesn't count, (even though it's accurate).

Very interesting question with which I have struggled in the past. To me "timeless design" is what is commonly referred to in art as classic. It encompasses those elements which stand out to personify not only perfection at its time but a design that will remain attractive in perpetuity. In Corvettes it would be unarguably the C2 generation especially the 1967 followed closely by the later C1s and then the early C3s with the chrome bumpers. Exception would be the 1973 with the plastic front and chrome bumper rear which designer Larry Shinoda envisioned as the best looking C3 ever made. Our C6 may reach that stage of "timelessness" due to it being basically a perfection of the C5. It's being smaller than all those before it and the exposed headlights seem to make it more contemporary and give it a more "European" look, which may help it in attaining that before mentioned status.

I don't know if the C6 will be timeless, but it will certainly will always have a personality, unlike any C4. Those things have always had the personality of plasterboard.
On the other hand, the C7's exterior...hmmm...
Maybe if they used some of that cheap Avalanche plastic on the fender wells or on a targa top to go along with the Camaro azz end...
Maybe that would bring it all together.

To me the ZR1 is getting more and more dated looking because of the hood and fenders. The ZO6 has a think nicer fenders than the GS. I say that because the GS fenders have multiple slashes and to me doesnt flow as well as the ZO6 design. The ZO6 to me just flared the bse C6 out and its more classy. Same with your 427.
The lust will always be there for the ZR1 because of the power but the look to me just isnt a draw. I prefer the GS over the ZR1 for looks and the ZO6 over the GS.
