Any Corvette owners into sport bikes too?

Just finished selling both my 08 CBR1000RR and 02 954RR a few months back due to my medical condition. There is nothing like leaning over into a long sweeper as it tightens and you just get on the gas and lean some more, I truly miss it! Ride safe everyone.

You might be surprised. If it's a carb model, you'll definitely need to go thru the carbs and redo 'em. However, if it's the F4i--which I thought came out in mid-99 model year--you might find that a new battery with a quick drain of the old gas and a refill with new fuel + some SeaFoam will bring it back to life. FI is way more forgiving at being neglected for years on end than carbs, especially with EtOH fuel. Oh, and put new tires on it!!!!

Yamaha R1 and a 1978 KZ650 Kawi, mint under 3k miles on it... Raced road racing, MX, desert, enduro, and did some trials. Can't list the brands much less the models or years...

I've sold a few over the last year or so and am down to two. Got rid of an SV650, a 955i Triple, an 82 CBX with 102,000 miles and a Ducati 999. I still have my beloved 79 CBX and a Hayabusa LE. The CBX has been thru six states and the Hayabusa, thru eleven. It's my main touring bike now that the 82 CBX is gone.

My last "sport bike" was my Triumph Trident, but that was sold in the late 90's. Yeah, I keep things for a long time. Loved the handling of those old Triumphs, vs the Japanese bikes of that period. These days I am lucky to get to ride my brother-in-law's bike.

Loved the "feel" of the triple. Not the power of a R1 or GSXR, but fun bike with a great balance with a killer front brake. Also the sharpest looking bike I ever owned.
I had the under tail exhaust on it, made it look so sharp... and sounded like a WW II bomber!

Enduros are a blast. More fun to me than the motocross track actually. Especially as you get older....

I really am torn and now you fools have me thinking. lol
Local guy asked me today how I like my Hammer and he has a 2011 Yamaha R1 that he wants to get rid of. He got a nice ticket with it. haha

GFLM: I've never raced in my life, but have always ridden pretty aggressively on the street. So at 62 yo this spring, I signed up for the Lee Parks Total Control class in Georgetown, KY. Best two days of rider training I can recommend, short of dedicated track days.
Me on the Wee, hoping my 8K mile shagged Shinko 705s don't wash out....

I have always had sport bikes too, best performance/dollar. Presently have a HD Anniversary V-Rod (not really a sport bike per se, but Harley's best offering) and a Yamaha R1 w/pipe & computer (just a really quick machine).

And I mean "riding". Not the big highway bore...
