Place to take my C6 in Queens, NYC?
Hey guys!
I remember coming onto this forum when I bought my 2006 C6 (and my first car ever) in October. I've driven her over 10,000 miles, and LOVE it. I drove from Los Angeles to New York city (the LONG route; about 5000 miles), and tonight I picked up a nail in one of my rear tires (first time that's ever happened to me). Also, in Minneapolis my friend's father in law (who used to race) said there was a slight miss or something like that (I don't know the lingo). He said injector cleaner or new sparkplugs could help the issue, but it's very minor so I haven't done anything yet.
I figured since I got the nail in the tire to take care of now (easily repairable, right?), I should go to a shop that knows what they're doing and have them do the tire repair and take a look at the engine too while they're at it. But I'm a LONG way from home, and I don't know what is the best way to go about doing this. If anyone here could recommend a reputable shop in Queens, NY (closer is better, since my tire is going to be flat in the morning when I can take it in) or tell me how to find one, I would be very grateful!
Thanks

Sam, don't know of a place other than out on Long Island. But here's a TTT and I copied and pasted it over to the Regional Section of CF for NYState.
Hope it goes well for you!

However, for me, when in a foreign area, where I don't know, or trust anyone, I would go to the nearest dealer.
At least you can be reasonably certain that they will do the job properly, with factory authorized parts, will not do anything to void your warranty, and you have G.M. with deep pockets, standing behind the work.
Yes, you may pay more, but for me, the peace of mind is worth it. Take your car anyplace else, and it could present a multitude of problems that you don't need. That's my 2 cents.

I live in NYC and take my car to Paramus Chevrolet in NJ..Its about 20mins west of the city on RT 17.
They have a Corvette sales floor at the dealership as well as mechanics who do nothing but Corvette work.
Ive always had great experience with them.
Also TKO is in Bayshore Long Island. Hes pretty popular on the forums as well.

There is a Goodyear dealer in Middle Village at the intersection of 69 St and Eliot Ave. It could be called Pace Tire. It's been there for years. Not sure if they can handle RF. Good Luck

Have Goodyear patch your tire and then drive to New Jersey for a visit to ECS in Cream Ridge. They are a performance shop focusing on corvettes but do maintenance too. It's 5 minutes from 6 Flags so ride a roller coaster or two while you wait.

Or make sure the bar is firmly in your lap that holds you in so you don't take a flyer. Then again, I think the company has closed usage of their "rollers" to check on all of them.

Queens is not to far from.long island where corvette doctors are located. It's in Amityville. For the tire you can go anywhere as ling as the have low profile jacks. As far as any mechanical issues the vette doctors get my vote.
