Drive In's
With the Spring weather here I was thinking about taking my old High School Girlfriend out to the local Drive In theater and do some spooning under the stars like the old days. Then I wondered if my 13 GS
4LT would start after running the radio and power stuff for several hours. In the old days you hooked the self powered mono toned speaker on the window but now the theaters broadcast on a FM station. Any one have any experience or ideas to minimize the power drain ? I would feel funny at 64 years old taking her home at daybreak and using the often tried lame excuse the car wouldn't start...LoL

Don't know the answer but I as well have thought about it.
The radio when the car is off will only stay running for about 15 minutes before it shuts off. I assume most newer cars do that as well?
Have not been to a drive in, in any newer car.

Burning Brakes
probably take a portable radio.. or you can just turn the car on every like 30 mintes for a little bit. i doubt it will die that quick. We have been to the drive-in in our new beetle and it didnt die. turned it on once after an hr. but we know the corvette runs pretty much everything on the battery so...

I can guarantee that if you don't start the car in between a few times (which will probably disturb others) that your car won't start - the C6 drains heavy on the battery.

I think that finding a Drive In will be the bigger problem.

Drifting
We took my wife's '13 427 to a drive-in last spring and didn't have any problems with starting. If memory is correct I kept it on ACC. I do like the idea of a portable radio if we do that again but we'll take my Yukon...since drive-in theaters are now converted parking lots, there is no little berm to raise the front of the car so the windshield it aimed at the screen. The Corvette sits so low the screen view becomes a challenge.
