2011 3LT - no NAV - does the CD handle one disk or many? Just got it yesterday. If takes many disks, then why does it have a single cd unit?

You can only put 1 CD at a time into that 1 slot in your radio head unit.
I believe they had a multi-disk CD player option at one time, but I don't think it was available in the 2011 Corvettes. It had a multi-disk CD player located in the rear area of the car.

If you have the straight 3LT, then know it is a single disk. For the 6 disk unit, you would need the RPO code US9.

BWF07 is correct. My 3LT '08 has the multiple CD option US9. Single slot and you load one at a time up to 6. There are some control buttons that also give it away that you have the multiple disk changer.

Thanks folks. I thought the 3LT always had the multi-cd unit. I'm curious: how would the window sticker read with the US9 option ? (note: the small booklet "Getting to know your 2011 Corvette" only discusses the multi-cd unit.)
PS: my old 2005 had the 6-disk unit. Maybe the dealer will switch it......he he...
they are going to switch my brand new tires to the 2011.

If you have the window sticker it should list the US9 option somewhere, if not there should be a sticker in one of the glove boxes that lists all options and about everything else the car came with.

The 6-disc CD player was not standard in the 3LT option package for 2011. It was an additional $395 option, RPO code US9 as indicated above.

My red one has the in-dash six disc changer and it works great. Unfortunately, the silver one has nav which I never use. I say unfortunately because I ruined six discs before I learned how to get an MP3 disc to play correctly and display the info properly. However, the "ruined" discs work fine in the six disc changer.
