So who wants to guess the outcome?
I'm going to say less than 10% track their cars....

I have gone down the 1320 at Bradenton a few times. I did so just to see where my car was at given a driver with no 1/4 seat time; A bolt-on LS3 vette is not hard to get into 11's on good street tires. This is why I own my car.

I will be at California Speedway on August 3rd and 4th for NASA HPDE. Was at Pueblo Motor Sports Facility last July. It is a lot of fun experiencing what these cars can do.

Open road racing in the 150 mph hour class and the occasional day at High Plains Raceway east of Denver. Not easy on the car, but mine isn't a garage queen.
Racing is where these cars really come to life, which isn't possible anywhere else except maybe in Germany.
Here's video of one leg from this year's BBORR in April. Just under 70 miles at just under 150 mph average on a closed two lane highway. There's nothing remotely like it.

I prefer road course HPDE events. I've been doing it for two years since I picked up the vette. I have a group of buddies who all enjoy it and we go up to various tracks around here together during the season. This year we've done Lime Rock park four times and NJMP Lighting once. We have another day at Lime Rock schedule in July and a two day event with NEQ at Watkins Glen in August (an awesome, technical track for sure)...
Here's some clips from this season's events.
If you haven't tried the track, these HPDE Events by NASA, SCDA, IMG, HOD and the car clubs like BMW and Audi are really fantastic experiences... drivers are grouped by experience. You have an instructor with you...class room time. It's a great learning experience and you will have a major rush...
I'm still learning and consider myself a low level intermediate driver as I've gotten too fast for the beginner groups and I've got about 10 days in the two years under my belt. It is addictive for sure!..Just Do It!!

Driven mine around Talladega at triple digits, but not a race. Not sure if this counts. But for me its the safest way to drive over 150 mph with no threat of wiping out or banging fenders.
Steve R, cool video.

Thanks! It doesn't really do it justice. On the straights I'm pushing 165, and only take one curve under 130. My thread about this year's race is here if you're interested: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...2013-trip.html

I voted no. I don't have a real desire to run mine on a 1/4 drag strip, although I do like watching other people run their cars down it.
I would like to track my car on a road coarse though.

I'd like to, but I'm man enough to admit I can't drive the car well enough to yet. I'm intending to buy an old C4 to use as a track car to get the basics and techniques down before I put myself out there with something as high performance as my C6.
I plan to take my C6 out to some autocrosses and such in the future, but not yet.
