Traded my C5 vert for an 06 Coupe introduction with pics
The day before yesterday, I made a trade from my 1998 Torch Red Vert to a 2006 Velocity Yellow C6. I wasn't looking really hard to trade it in, but found an excellent deal on an exceptionaly clean low mile C6 I couldn't pass up. I just wanted to thank you guys for all the help and support the C5 forum has given me throughout my "Vette Journey"!!! You guys all . I'm hoping the C6 forum will be just as friendly and helpful! Dealer gave me $200 over what NADA had my C5 listed on "trade in value" and I bought the C6 for $200 LESS than what NADA had listed as "TRADE IN VALUE"! They had the car for almost 3 months, and I think didn't have much interest in it. I think the yellow, loud exhaust, and Comp grey wheels were something that took a different kind of buyer than your typical vette owner around my parts if you know what I mean
The C5 I traded:
1998
79,200 miles
And the new C6:
2006
19,800 miles
SLP loudmouth
6sp manual

I really like those wheels. I like the yellow writing on them too. The C6 is superior to the C5. Enjoy the ride! Your drivers seat looks to be in good shape too, that was a big concern of mine.

Nice C6, congrats to you. That C5 is a looker too. I had a '03 Convert exactly like that only with ZO6 Spider wheels, was a great car. Inrested in your first thoughts between the C5 and C6 now that you have one.

Thanks everyone! I've only been home to drive it for a day. Went to myrtle beach on vacation this week. I will report back with some differences between the two in a couple weeks.
PS ... I'm looking for a used/ takeoff Z06 or grand sport stock spoiler if anyone has their old one and would be interested in selling! Already posted in the for sale/ looking for section.

Looks great! You can't go wrong switching from a C5 to a C6, let alone a yellow C6! I also came from a c5 convertible as well. Havent looked back since!
