C6 convertible bow pin fell out
The left convertible top bow pin just fell out of the top the other day.
How complicated is it to re-install the pin?
It looks like it was held in by a snap ring.
Is there a procedure to follow so the cloth does not slip?
Is this a job for a pro? Or is it something that won't take much time?
Thanks.
I attached a picture of the isolated bow pin and the left bow pin in place.

I checked mine and I can reach in from the side and get under the headliner fabric but the place that the pin goes into does not seem to give access behind the pin, so I can't see how the c-clip could be put back in. Have you tried just pushing it back in...maybe it's not a c-clip but more like a snap.

Thanks a million!
Good to hear it is an easy fix. I was worried the cloth may not go back the way it was, but sounds like that is not an issue. I may put a dab of epoxy on the pin and retainer to keep it from popping out again.

Simpler way to re-attach the bow pin
I found a simpler way to re-attach the bow pin. In the first picture (attached), you can see my arm reaching into the roof. From this access I could easily reach the top of the pin and snap the clip back in place. Although I had already removed the long bowed fabric retainer/trim piece, its removal is not necessary.
I was able to reattach the bow pin in about 15 minutes. The most time consuming part was finding the clip. I have attached a picture showing a red box where I found my clip. I re-shaped the pin with pliers so that it fit more snuggly before reinstalling. I also polished both pins as some build up had accumulated on the contact surfaces. The build up may have contributed to the pin popping out.
Access to pin with front of roof pointed straight upwards
Location of loose clip in my roof. The clip looks exactly like the ones to the left of the red box.
I also cross-posted this to an old thread by mistake
