Something so simple... yet
In the process of adding a backup camera system, something so simple as removing the rear view mirror... have all the mods done and now I am having a heck of a time getting it back on.
Taking off: twist/turn and off it comes.
So far twist/turn is not putting it back on. My muscles fail me.
Does anyone have some relatively sure fire method to get this thing back on?
Thank you.

Sounds like you're doing it right, but did a Google search and found this ..
when putting it back on, place it at the angle it was at when it came off and twist on without pushing too much.
Check this ..

And this ..

Hope this helps

Couldn't resist.
Actually, I have no idea. I didn't even know you could take it off easily.

Dif,
Yes, thanks. I've tried that but I guess I just don't have the touch or the muscle push to get it to insert. It does have to go at a 45 to horizontal then push and turn horizontal.
It at the dealership today for an oil change, high speed buzz happening again, and a look at the brake fluid issue needing to be replenished now as it has gone a tad just below half, sending the service alert. They'er going to put it back on.
I was almost considering using a soft rubber clamp but decided not to risk the windshield.
