If you bought the road hazard warranty, get it replaced. I've done it with three RF tires. If not, get a tire place to try to patch it from the inside. Don't just stuff a plug from the outside.

I had my GY Supercar runflats patched in a similar area and it has worked fine for 3000+ miles.

Yes but you should pull it off the rim and do a patch from the inside to assure the tires speed rating.

I had a screw bigger than that not too long ago in my rear tire. Had it plugged at a gas station for $10. Not worried about speed ratings because I never go over 70.

I did this very same thing using Dyna Plug and drove another 6 months before I replaced a 4 tires with new ones.

Over 140000 miles on my C5' quite a few sets of run flats, and picked up my share of screws. While Discount Tire would always fix them for free due to the business I did with them, many times I would save the hour or two at the tire store and plug them myself from the outside. Never had any problems with them. I think I patched about 10 or so over the sets of tires. I wouldn't patch a sidewall issue however.
