Got this nice mod for my car from Callaway. A take off 427 carbon fiber hood.

Anyone know what is the best way to remove the stripes?

Can you do it without damaging them? I have a buddy (Johnodrake) that would like them if I can get them off intact.

Nice hood! I doubt you can re-use the stripes.IMO

Randy if hot they will come off pretty easy with a gentle but steady pull. However they will stretch as you pull them.

Did the same for my Z06. The stripes come right off with a heat gun. Just start working them off slowly and there won't be any mess to clean up. All I had to do was use some spray detailer when I was done.

Thanks guys! I was thinking that if I get them really warmed up they might come off without too much trouble.

Yes, I doubt that they would be reusable as a whole. I think John just needs some to fix a flaw or missing piece. Not sure on that.


I just bought some OEM Z06 fenders to go with the hood.
