As soon as I looked at your photo, I thought to myself, "either he wet down the pavers, or just had them sealed."

My house is new, and I've not yet had the pavers sealed, so I also wet them down before photographing my 'vette in the driveway.

I just picked up a 2008 base coupe, crystal red, auto, dual mode exhaust, chrome aluminum wheels, dual roof option, 4LT (an $8005 option). According to the 2008 production stats the 4LT was only in 3.8% of all coupes and convertibles. 2LT was 10.9% and the 3LT 42.7%.

First let me say Kudos on your new aquisition, enjoy!

Second, I agree that the 2LT option seems to run around 10% to 15% of sales, depending on the year.

That makes it rather hard to find when looking for a previously owned Corvette.

The 3LT seems to be the package of choice, but it's rather pricey.

I used the word "rare", to describe the 2LT, and a number of guys have jumped on my case for it. If I said, "less popular", a different bunch would have kicked my butt.

Maybe I should have referred to the 2LT, as the preferred option package sought by a fewer number of discriminating buyers.

For the folks wanting HUD I'll be traveling just about everywhere in the south, east cost and some central etc... on my way to Carlisle next month so if this is something you want you can get basic or an upgraded color HUD you can't get stock for starting at $599 for basic and $675 for color upgrade. Not trying to high jack but it's not that expensive an upgrade and really adds a whole new dimension to the driving experience...

Sounds like a salesmen trying to bump you up to the higher cost option. Not an uncommon tactic by new car salesmen.

"When I was ordering my '13 GS in November of 2012, I gave the salesman very specific ordering information. When I said 2LT, he looked at me like I was a Leper. He said, ...."are you sure? We get very few orders for a 2LT, you mean 3LT right?" "

Did you pull the dash entirely or did you just lift it up and slide in the HUD. I want to do mine bad but I am not going to cut the duct.

Not saying the poster has his facts wrong, but it contradicts what I see on the market and what I see fellow Corvette owners driving. I see few 4LT's and lot more 1LT's.

Mine is just empirical observation. If he has actual official production numbers then I'll believe it.

Nice, I have the rare 1LT.. I saved $6k buying my 2013GS as a 1LT and another $2k getting the standard silver wheels. I don’t care for HUD and the GM/Bose/Nav is garbage so all that $$ for heated seats would be a waste.

I suppose any brand new 2013 would be somewhat rare today. Not so much when the thread was started back in 2013.

Same exact car I have, except I don't have the headrests embroidered but I do have NAV. Nice!

In 2013 2LT included HUD and Bose as well as the cargo net and sun shade.
I do wish I had the 3LT as I miss the power telescoping column and additional seat bolster adjustments.
The homelink I don't care about because it wouldn't work on my house anyhow, and the memory feature is useless because only I drive the car.

When I decided to buy a new Vette last November, I missed the "sold orders" cutoff date by a few weeks which meant obviously I could not spec and order the exact car I wanted. So I ended up buying the closest thing I could find - from Tommy jr. Had I been able to spec it out my way, I'd have gone with a 1LT, titainium seats, a ZR1 spoiler, and the rest the same. I do not use the navigation, but I do use the HUD everytime I drive.

So for $2,145, the options I like and use are HUD, cargo net & shade, and one year XM radio (but car is stored 6 months in winter.)

9 speaker bose is nothing to write home about.
Bluetooth has never been used.
Navigation - really? Sofaking not worth the effort.

So, a 1LT would have basicaly saved the money to put toward real tires.

All in all I love this Vette. Hands down the nicest car I have owned.
