Battery tender hook up
I hook my battery tender up whenever I am not going to drive the vette for several days. I lift up the hood, and connect the aligator clips to the battery terminals. It only takes a minute or less. Is there another way I should consider?

You can use the cigarette lighter adapter. Run it to the outlet in the middle console and under either door where there is a lip where the water drains. Think this is quicker and easier than lifting the hood and connecting to the battery. I use a CTEK with the adapter as mentioned.

I plug the tender into the power outlet inside the console.

I plug my CTEK using the cigarette lighter adapter to the outlet in the center console and lay the wire in the drain notch on the door sill before closing the door. It is easy to do and you don't have to worry about forgetting to unplug it before you leave the next time.

That's the way I hook mine up. I have a Battery Tender Plus and it also came with a connector that you can attach to the bolts that connect the cables to the battery and you can plug in the power cable from the tender to it. I've just found it easy to use the alligator clips.

I use the cigarette lighter for our Vettes, but if I wasn't cheap I would order three more of these...
This was designed for the Vette by one of our great Vendors, I have it installed on my wifes Hummer. Works like nothing else. I will find a link and post it.

I don't think $75 is expensive for something that makes life a lot easier.

If I had one of those magnetic hookups; I wouldn't be dragging the battery tender out of the garage near as often

That's why I connect my float charger to the +connector under the fuse box lid and the - to the frame on my Z06. I leave the hood up(resting on it's springs) ~3", so when I get into the car, I have a clear visual indication that the float charger is connected so I won't drive off with it still attached.

I hooked mine directly to the + and - terminals, near the underhood fuse block, using the "eye" terminals supplied with the Tender. Use it all the time between drives. (not a DD)
