Corvette coral / Road Atlanta / The Petit Le Mans
I am going to the The Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 19, 2013. I am wondering if you guy's think the "Corvette Coral" is worth the $50 ticket? Can you also tell me what the coral is all about other than parking my vette there?
Thanks

I cannot answer for Petit exactly, but I do have a friend that goes and always does the corral. I have done the corral at Sebring along with the same person I believe it is worth every penny and it is more expensive at Sebring. If I were to go to Petit, I would invest the additional $50 for the corral.

I've been the last 3-4yrs and can tell you most anything about it. The Corral is great especially if it's your first time out there. It's a grassy, sloppy field with a dusty gravel entrance so don't expect your wash job to stay too clean while there. Lots of vettes and a tent for corral only folks. There are snacks and non-alcoholic beverages that come with the corral ticket as well. A large TV is under the tent so you can watch the races in shade with a large group of other vette folks just like you would at home. The vettes have the best corral area and location in my opinion as its just over the turn 12 bridge immediately on the left.
Here's a pic of our GS in the corral towards the end of the day while many vettes had started to leave.
Shot from the drive-in entrance of the corral.
Shot of the tent.

Same tent as Sebring. Also if CR does the same at Petit (and I would think they would), the drivers come to the tent for the autograph session, so you don't have to wait in the long line in the garage area. There are also different guess speakers ranging from Corvette engineers to Doug Fehan team manager for CR. So as I said before and the other reply, yes it is well worth the $50.00
