Default Rick Hendrick Chevy

I am wanting to trade my 99 FRC in for a 2008-2009 C6. I am located about 2.5 hours South of Atlanta. I am thinking about about trading with Rick HendricK. Has any of the forum members done businees with Rick Hendrick and would you reccommend them.
Thanks-jerry
PS- I would rather trade than put up with the hassle of trying to sell my car myself.

Rick Hendrick in Buford is a high haggle dealership.
If you want to get a reasonable price out of them, plan on working for it.

I just bought a 45th Anv. Camaro from them... What a hassle.
Their prices are really high, I guess it to make you feel like you got a deal when they come down a little.
Also examine the car. Ask them if you can wash it. That is when I find the most problems.
Somehow dealers have mastered hiding dings and scratches until a week goes by and after a few washes there is a new blemish showing up.

I also must add... Their sales people lie. Both the supervisors and the floor staff.
They don't get commission but they do get bonuses for sales.
Anything you do get it in writing.

Try Jim Ellis ask for Reggie Stagmaier. Known Reggie 23 years or so he gives you good prices so you don't waste his and your time 404-569-0481 his cell tell him Doug said to call.

Personally, I'd try to find another dealer besides them after my experience. Recommend John Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs as a good alternative. Purchased my last one from them.

I don't know if all Hendrick dealerships are the same, but their stores in North Carolina charge a $600 documentation fee. So make sure to ask them about fees up front. I've seen them sell cars on eBay and put in the tiny fine print: "Your final price is your winning bid + $599 Doc Fee + taxes + license fees"

When it comes to buying used its not about who the dealer is. Focus on what your buying. Is it really what you want, options, miles, condition, value ? Your not getting a new vehicle warranty so that issue is off the table. Check current values on both which will give you a ball park price gap. Can you get the former owners name to contact ? This would be a huge plus. Don't get hung up on a famous owner of the dealership. Chances are you will never meet him anyway. Good luck & bargain well !

Yes go ahead and buy from them and be sure to pay those high prices. It will make you feel so much better knowing that you helped pay for that $1.1 million C7 first off the line Vette.

I got my new 2013 GS there and got a good deal on my trade
('03 coupe) and the new car. Better than other large dealerships in Ohio, Maryland, and Florida. I'm sure it is a different situation making a deal on a used vehicle. Let me know if you want to know the guy I dealt with.

Don't buy in Florida unless you want to pay an additional $599 dealer fee. Somehow, years back they got it passed in legislation down here. what a crock of bull. An extra $600 bucks in the dealer's pocket on EVERY CAR SOLD HERE.

Hendrick is the hardest people to deal with...hassles, run arounds, fine print...you name the game and they play it....

Before I purchased my car from buyavette.net (also in Atlanta) I called to see if they had exactly what I was looking for. Still to this day I get daily emails and calls about once a month if I'm still interested in any cars they have in their network even though I've verbally told them I already bought one from another dealer.

I had a very satisfactory experience with them in Jan. I bought a new 2012 GS and traded in my 2001 Corvette. I was also able to get them to take in/payoff my wife's 370Z we wanted to get rid off. I found the prices and usual back and forth to be reasonable. Could I have have gotten a better deal? Maybe. Was I satisfied the deal I negotiated was fair to both side? Definitely. No buyers remorse. And the subsequent visit for service was also pleasant.

Henricks is terrible. Alot of hassle built into their experience. And they are higher than everyone. I tried to buy from them two times in two states...they suck. I went to Jim Ellis in Atlanta after being fed up w/ their lies and bull. Jim Ellis gave a great deal and was honest about how much the car REALLY costs instead of lying. (I already knew how much). They played nice and made a deal not a killing like Hendricks!

I have heard nothing but complete horror stories about Hendrick. There are some really good dealers out there. Try Mike at Criswell Chevrolet in MD. I hear he is a first class guy...
