hi all
had my car - 2006 triple blk vert ,which has z06 style chrome rims and full width racing spoiler- out today to run a few errands around town. had it out abt 2hrs and got 5 compliments on how it was such a nice looking car and thats not counting all the stares i got from all the teenagers walking around .
just thought i would share this as we all hve been there

It was probably because of the "racing spoiler" because everyone loves to see racecars and racecar drivers.

I disagree...I think it's the round tail lights that gets everybody's attention. Enjoy it now because the C7 doesn't have them...

It's always nice to get those compliments! I was stopped at a light this morning waiting to turn left and a teenager on a bike rode through the intersection and yelled out "nice ride!" And when I picked up my 11 year old son from school yesterday in it, all of his friends were making nice compliments too. The C6 still turns heads after all the time it has been out!

Must not be many Vettes in your city/town. As long as the C6 has been around, they are now quite common. You still get the nice car when at a gas station now and then. But I do not see people getting all excited about them.

I just got back from going to the parts store. On the way a Kia pulled out in front of me and went on the slow side. We both ended up at the same store, he said he was sorry for going so slow, that he was just looking at my vette in his rear view mirror. I said No Problem!

I drove mine up to Mt Evans (14k feet) today. I had about 5 comments just leaving the top parking lot.

I've gotten tons of stares, although ironically I haven't had a single compliment. I'm pretty sure its animosity against the young sports car owner, because I sure as heck over-obsess on the cars apperance and condition.

I've noticed a lot of people pull out in front. Must be the lack of respect and civility in this country. Pull out in front of a vette, get the ? out of my way, lol.
It may be due to the number of old men who drive vettes. They probably drive 10 mph trying to show off their cars. I saw a gentleman get out of a white c5 the other day. He grabbed his walker and oxygen tank out of the back. Downright embarrassing, lol.
