Never realized this would happen so much in a Vette

I would say it is quite common. Some are looking for a little demo of Corvette power and others are looking for a nice little street race. Depending on the circumstances they may get both with me.:

The joy of driving Corvette, everybody wants to race you.

Why would you say that? I tend to agree with the previous poster - a Vette means you have nothing to prove. It's power speaks for itself and combine that with the fact that most Vette owners are of a more mature vintage, little street shenanigans are likely. I like my Vette just knowing it has power eventhough I very rarely use it.
A lot of people buy them trying to prove something, you know it's true.

He is saying that to somebody who owns a vette we love these cars. Its not just about the power or thrill of maybe being faster than the other. Its about having a car that makes you smile every time you get into the drivers seat and start it up. If people think he is "trolling" because he loves his vette. As do I. I didn't buy it for thinking it was the fastest car I could afford and I'm sure 90% of the people who own a vette didn't buy it for that reason.

I know guys with 1000+rwhp street cars that are humble compared to that poster, There is always somebody faster.

where does this come from?... Prove what that they like Vettes...its a Chevy a nice Chevy but a chevy..And yes anyone can mod a car to the point that its barely streetable to whip a Vette...

Barely streetable? Doesn't take a "Barely streetable" car to freight train a corvette. **** a new 5.0 mustang with boltons & tune will drag a stock LS2 vette down the highway and be a drivers race with a LS3 car.

Where I live there are all manner of exotic cars that are way faster than my lowly GS.

Let me explain what he means...
First, you call me a troll, because I made an obvious sarcastic remark, laced with a little Corvette pride. This is after all a Corvette forum.
Second, you say that Corvette owners think their cars are the "end all, be all, of street cars". Sure we do, or we wouldn't have spent a ton of money on them. I'm certain that on a GTO forum some where, they also think their cars are the best thing since sliced bread, and rightly so.
Third, you say that Corvette owners buy these cars because they're out to prove something. I have no idea what it is we are out to prove???
Then you say you don't know what he means. Read what 2012Z06, and dotto929 said.
Now, please don't take offense here....I was surprised by this just a few hours ago. It was a little gift from my son. Perfect for this discussion, and gave me a good laugh.
Lighten up my friend.

Again who cares...sounds like only YOU...FWIW...I rock a 13Z06...but I'm not taking score...I'm saying IDNTGAFCK...Any car guy knows there is always some thing faster than what you drive....

"IDNTGAFCK" - I haven't seen that before. It's a new texting world these days.

Well, I've seen stupid people all the time try to race or ride your *** when I'm driving my Vette. Since I know, because I have run my car, what my Vette will do I usually just ignore them, or juice it and get in another lane. Most times after doing that they either zoom past or lay off. But I get a little tired of people saying :
That's very true, but, I know many Vette owners, who have very streetable and comfortable every day cars that turn in the 10's. The sword swings both ways. And Vette's are targets for the Audis, BMW's and bozo's broads in their big SUV's...
And yes anyone can mod a car to the point that its barely streetable to whip a Vette...
