Default AC Delco Air Filter

Just bought an AC Delco Air Filter (A3077C) for my 2009 C6 Coupe at Amazon. This is one of the lowest prices I have seen for this filter.

Just thought I would share...

Does your Corvette have one air filter or two like on 2005? I belive you have a different engine LS-3?

The LS3 was introduced for MY2008 using the same Donaldson Powercore single filter as the LS7. The LS2 requires two panel elements located in separate dual housings as you know.

How do you tell if the factory air filter is dirty? It's black in color.

thanks for the info
Well I try to see if I raise it up to the sunlight but can't see through it because it's black. When I tap it against cement I just get some loose debris out of it.
I am at 49K and I do have 2 GM air filters in the closet so at the magic 50,000 mark per manual I guess I will put in the new filters.

Just a reminder - it's okay to mention non-supporting vendors by name, but we're not supposed to post URLs, prices, etc.

Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, offer to send contact information via PMs, etc.) or so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.

Kind of ironic that the same filter can be bought from several of our forum vendors for the same price .................... They support our forum. Amazon doesn't !

Whoops... Sorry about that.

Could somebody post a supporting vendor who has a good deal on the above air filter?

Gene Cully at GM Parts House or Kevin at Parts Taxi. Both at $95 plus loose change and shipping

I'm sorry... I meant no disrespect to the supporting vendors. I have bought many products from them and I will continue to do so...

So does that mean LS2 you pay twice the price for 2 filters vs. 1 filter on LS3?

No. The flat panel filters are cheaper.
