Turtle Wax Tire Shine Spray

Turtle Wax Tire Shine Spray
For those that love the look of slick, wet looking tires, i picked up a can of this last week.
Only problem i had, i sprayed all 4 tires first, then came back to wipe off the excess on the wheels.
i'll never make that mistake again. Wipe each well after you spray. The stuff dries fast and is a PITA to get off, especailly after i spent an hour polishing the wheels.
other than that...they look great, now ill just see how long it holds up.

Melting Slicks
i cut a 18" circle out of cardboard made a little handle and i cover the wheel while I spray. I have also been using a simonize product that I have grown to like very much.

I love the Turtle Wax Wet n Black stuff! I spray it onto a tire sponge and then wipe it on that way and it lasts for a very long time and doesn't sling up onto the body panels either. It doesn't make the tires look ridiculously shiny though, which I prefer actually. The stuff I have was bought a few years ago though, and I've heard the newest formula of this stuff might not be as good. But I think I've got a big enough supply to last at least 5 years or so, and once that runs out I'll hopefully be able to find a suitable alternative that fits my needs

I have used several and the one that doesn't pitch up on the side panels is Meguires Hot Shine which I apply with an applicator pad. Tried Armor All Extreme, nice shine, but pitched for a week. I don't drive a ricer, so want a nice, deep gloss not ultimate "shine." And I really hate having to detail around the wheels for days after application. May give this a try, if it dries quickly.

Another product that looks great and does not get thrown up onto the side of the car is Adam's Polishes V.R.T.

I'm a huge fan of 4 Star tire dressing. I bought it years ago on a BOGO from Autogeek, and have been using it ever since. I really liked Ultima's tire dressing, and this gave the same sort of look at a much lower price.
I'm not big on glossy tires, I like a nice satin but dark finish. Four Star does it very well, but Ultima does it even better.
I've also been using the foam painting brushes to apply tire shine. It works GREAT, I just need to find one that's a little stiffer and nicer than the cheapos I bought at Walmart.
