We went silver
On the 2013 60th package.
Dealer suggested black because 427 comes with them, but we didn't want that because we have small block. Wife likes silver cause it goes with the stripes and her 63 Sebring coupe.

Thanks for the pics.
Its not just me. My wife even mentioned it when I sent her pics of Torch Red Vettes.
Of course its not a problem on a black car and I think it looks fine on others but it doesn't look right to me on Torch Red for some reason. It almost looks like the red is more washed out when compared to the rest of the car.
Thanks for the pics guys.

According to the Chevy website: 427 body color n/c, CG n/c, black and blade silver $590.
Other models; body color n/c, CG, black and blade silver colors $590.
I don't think too many cars in dealer inventories had the optional headlamps which would help account for the 5.5% number in the previous post.

That is strange as I can see it on my computer in my original post and in your quote. Your computer settings must not be allowing it to show.

Yep, the body colored headlights are the most undesirable part of the C6. Took me a while to get use to them. Now they've just become part of the overall design statement, and I've come to kinda like em.
I do however hold out that maybe some day some one will provide a C7 styled headlamp for the C6.

My 2011 CRM came with silver headlight surrounds and I love the way it looks. I also think color matched lacks something on some colors of cars but looks fine on others. Too each his or her own. Still, I think $500 for the optional silver is a bit steep. I would not have ordered it had it not already been on my car when I got it.

Both ways look good to my eyes....Checksix's car is flat out sharp w/ that two-tone color.
I think the darker colored cars my eyes prefer body color....to each their own...

I wish we could have the headlights tinted but I hear it causes the lens to crack.
Never a fan of the c6 headlights I just found other area to favor.
I have a black car so it hid a good portion of the headlight design anyway..
Anybody tint the lens successfully?
I have a high end paint shop for European cars who says he can tint them...but again my concern is the lens cracking..
I prefer the dark look myself...
Good to know so many like the body colored look.

Would definitely consider a color offset, but it's extremely dependent on body color. Red, Silver, White all seem to look good with darker headlights.

Also as someone else mentioned, the dealers are the ones ordering most of the cars, so the customer isn't getting a choice really. It would be interesting to see the specs for all custom ordered cars.
I have a white 2011 with the black light option. Much better than white lights in my opinion. I don't care for the body colored lights, except maybe on black cars

I like them body color. That said though, I think they are just wimpy looking headlights anyway you look at them. No attitude at all. Certainly was a welcome change and step up from the dreaded pop ups of the C5 though. The C7 is a good indicator of what these type of headlights should really look like, and that they are finally getting it right IMO.

IMO our headlights are the least attractive parts on the car. Changing them to a contrasting color just makes them stand out like an ugly sore thumb. I'll keep my body color lights, thank you.
