Borla 11810 Touring
Anyone have the new Borla Touring axle-back on their LS3 M6 coupe ? If so, any cabin drone in 6th on the highway. Decided the NPP has got to go ............ into storage.

I switched from Bullets (too much drone) to the factory NPP exhaust. With the flap closed, it sounds like a busted tail pipe I now have the Borla touring exhaust on H/C LT LS7 and there is some (little) drone at around 1400-1700rpm. Maybe my next exhaust will be the new Borla Fusion Extreme.

Borla was on here a couple years back touting their new model that doesn't have drone. It was one model up from touring and was the "II" IIRC---maybe the one described above. Touring, w. standard headers/cats, supposedly has never droned, auto or manual, that I've read/heard of on here. Matter of fact, it's the re-badged model that Chev. sold otc for some years on the C6.
You may want to look up "David Borla." Just did. Here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/sear...rchid=36053349

I have the s-type and there is NO drone on mine. I have Kooks LTH/x pipe as well and cruising on the interstate at 75-82 mph the cabin is very quite. I actually wish I would have got the atak! Like someone said above, the s-type is a step up louder so if it doesn't have drone then the touring wouldn't either is my guess.

I have the Borla Touring that they did for GM, the GCA, on my 2013 and I love it.
Not real loud at idle or at low rpm's, but louder than stock and screams when you get in it. No drone, none.
To me, it's what the C6 should have come with from the factory. A 430HP car sound NOT be quieter then a 6 cylinder "whatever"!
There are louder out there, but the touring may be what you are looking for!
Hope this helps

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
This is kind of an old thread, but I am going to reply now to it.
Like the OP, my NPP is just too loud now since I have a set of headers with cats on my 2011 GS. During normal driving, it's just fine, but at WOT with these headers, it's way too loud!
I just ordered the older design of the Borla 'Touring' axle-back system straight from Borla. The new design Borla now costs $1,486 but Borla is selling out the older design that fits the 2009-2013 Base and GS cars for $720 + shipping ($759 shipped) .... that's close to 50% off the regular price .... Great Deal!
