I have a strange noise upon hard acceleration (WOT) from 3500 to 4500 rpm. It sounds similar to when my AC Compressor started acting up. This time I know it is not the compressor. It is a whining noise. Again, sound similar to the bad AC compressor, but have ruled that out since when the ac is OFF it still makes the noise... No codes yet.
2007 Vette has 30,000 miles.

I welcome all thoughts as to what the issue may be.

To describe the noise - it is similar to what is in this video - but happens at a higher RPM and Does NOT make the noise when the car is park or nuetral - only happens under load in, WOT, In gear at the top of the gear. 70% throttle does not make the noise...
