Michelin tire size for 2011 GS conv.
OK, I have a 2011 Conv. GS and want to buy new Michelin Pilot SS tires non run flats. The dealers I have talked to say I need 275-35ZR18 for the front and 32530ZR19 for the rear but on here some people have quoted different numbers, such as: 275 for the front and 345 for the rear and 295 for the front and 345 for the rear. I am very confused!!! Can one help me out? Thanks

Stock sizes are 275-35ZR18 front and 325-30ZR19 rear. Some guys upsize to 285/18 front & 345/19 rear to fill out the wheel wells & if pure cosmetics are your bigger priority then go for it.
But if performance is top priority, then the stock sizes are a few lbs lighter & imho they're more appropriate for the GS, as the Pilots SS's are much stickier tires than the stock spec GY F1's & 285/345 is overkill..even for the Z06.

Tirerack.com will answer this question and leave no doubt.
Might also discover a price that you can use to negotiate with your local dealers.
Or buy from tirerack.com if your local dealers won't, ahem, deal.

Edited: Changed info on my PSS tires. PSS is not available in a runflat in Z06/GS size. The runflats I have are PS Cups in ZR1 size.
I have the stock size PSS on my Z06. If they were available in a runflat that's certainly what I would get!!
I ran them on the track at Daytona last month and they ROCK!!!!!
I would STRONGLY recommend you just go for the OE size PSS - they are a FANTSTIC tire!!!!
Just MHO, YMMV.
BTW, just added some pics of the PSS on the track.

Here's my Z06 chasing down a Ferrari - blew past him right after track out:
Here's a closer look at the PSS cornering at about 1.3 G's - I think the stock size is perfect on a Z06/GS:

I am running a set of Nitto Invo's on the front and a set of Nitto NT-05 on the back of my GS right now. Although I really like the Nitto's, I was considering a set of the Michelin 'Pilot Super Sport' tires as my next replacement.
My question is how do these Michelins wear in comparison to the Nittos? Right now I am just looking for a set of tires that will last a long time with easy driving.

I just ordered the Pilot Super Sports in stock GS sizes (275/325) on Monday from Discount Tire. Should have them mounted on Friday. Stick with stock sizes and know everything is correct.

PS2 Runflats are available in stock GS/Z06 sizes, PSS (Super Sports) are currently not. All I know is that the PSS is a fantastic tire in all weather conditions except snow. Even in 8 degree cold they are good.

It will be a runflat for the C7, but it's not available in a runflat for the Z06/GS.
I bought 2 sets of tires at the same time from Discount Tire - a set of PSS in Z06 size, and a set of Pilot Sport Cup RUNFLATS in ZR1 size for a set of ZR1 wheels I will run on the Z06. I haven't run the PS Cups yet, but will at VIR the end of June.
I got confused about which ones were runflats and which were not!
Sorry about the confusion, but if the PSS were available in a runflat I would definitely get them rather than the non-rf.
Let me go up and edit my original post!
