06 z06 vs 09 z06
I have a decision to make on which z06 I want. I live in Jacksonville, fl. There is a 06 z06 in AZ for 38000 that has 15000 miles. The other one is a 09 z06 in Jacksonville, fl but it has 60000 miles, the owner wants 38500. I know some of the pros as cons of each. What do y'all think? Which one would y'all go with?

Neither one, I would keep looking. I do not like the high mileage on the 09 and I do not want to spend 38k on a car 7 years old.

Not enough info. There are Vettes out there with 70k+ in better cond. than those with sub 20k.
I would want to know the owner history along with maintenance records on both before deciding.

That is a lot of miles for a 2009 ZO6. Most of us wouldnt buy it for much over 35k because of the number of miles. I dont buy high mileage anything, let alone a beast of a car like a ZO6.

I would go for the 06. Only difference between the years is the transmission and a few small things. The 06 Z is also lighter. I paid 40K for mine in Dec of 2012. Came with 20K miles on my 06 Z. Already have put 9K miles on her without any problems. Its my daily driver. Go with the car YOU like. Not the car the forum likes.
I also bought a 3rd party warranty "bumper to bumper" for piece of mind. Just in case something happens. Paid around $1500 for a 4 year/48k mile warranty.

Most people will not have any problems with the 06's drivetrain, though.

, the car is made to be driven, so a lot of miles is not a terrible thing if it's been well cared for, but its just too big a risk IMO, and its still a buyers market out there and with the C7 coming out I think you will see even more C6Z's going up for sale even with the difference in performance.

Another way to look at it is the 09 is a little on the high side for the mileage (average mileage for most cars in the US is 12K per year. I really don't see anything wrong with a 60K mile car but the price should reflect the fact it has 60K miles. If the car is in good shape and has been taken care of make the guy an appropriate offer and see if he bites. You just might get it for a lot less than 38.
