Foggy Headlights?
I have a friend with an 08 C6 who says his headlight lenses are starting to get foggy and will soon be in need of restoration. Of course, I am not yet seeing any evidence of this on my '12. Are C6 Corvettes particulally prone to this issue?

Melting Slicks
Not that I have seen I'm sure others will chime in shortly. Then again it depends on driving habits. How does the nose of the car look?

Eventually, it happens to all of us. But when?
Our 2009 spent 8 months stored outside at the dealers, plus we've put almost 60k miles on it. It sits outside in Florida for 2 months each year, and was never waxed until last summer. Our headlights are still fine.
Other people have a car only a couple of years old that are already getting crazing or hazing. Sometimes it's blamed on protective film over the lens, but many cars with problems have never had the film.
Go figure...

Mine went from clear to crazed within days last year. I have no idea what caused it. Nothing was applied to the lens's during the time this happened other than going to a do-it-yourself car wash while traveling. I was driving cross-country at the time with lights on at most times. Replaced under warranty.

My
My 05' I traded in for my 13 GS a month half ago. The headlights on the car started to get hazy and a year and half later became a complete disaster. No kidding horrible. I tried a 100 ways to one to recover them with NO luck. Either buy the lenses and install them yourself or Robert Sebring a forum vendor here on CF does the nicest light restorations. He is reasonable you can take your headlights out, mail them to him. He will then send them back new. NEW no kidding.... Look him up on here...

Foggy headlights
HI, my lens' have a haze on the underside, and yes it is on the underside, I have polished and tried many things on the outside, but it is inside on the underside of the lens. Very poor design, not being able to get inside and do any maintenance type stuff. I would love to be able to plastic polish the underside of the lens. Also I had a lot of moisture inside my drivers side light, I found one of the bulb boots had fallen off.

The cloudiness on the inside of the lens is generally moisture with dust mixed in that dries a number of times leaving a residue.
The polycarbonate on the inside does not have a protective coating. Just touching the surface can leave a finger print that etches into it. Have to be very careful.
