I recieved turn by turn directions from my iPhone using google maps on my car speakers. After each turn it always says "Call ended" do you think I'm being charged a phone call for every turn? Soryy I put this in the ZR1 forum first. Bill in San Diego 2012 3lt TR GS.

No it is just transmitting the info over the Bluetooth phone peripheral instead of Bluetooth audio. Siri works the same way. So no, you aren't being charged. While this thing is kind of a nuisance when you have a lot of turns, it's nice for long trips, IMHO.

I think it's just a glitch in the way GM implemented the interface. I get the call ended voice confirmation from the car after Siri voice commands to the iPhone as well. Definitely no phone call being made....but a connection to the phone to transmit audio to it is made, so maybe that's how the system is confusing it.

<rant>And FWIW: I hate voice command turn by turn directions....I've got my nav system turn by turn directions muted....and I just watch for it in the HUD or glance down at the Nav screen every now and then. If I wanted a woman ordering me around, I would have brought my wife along!</rant>
