Simple supply and demand at play here. I bought a 427 new collectors edition in early march with an msrp of 92k for 80700. There were plenty around and soft demand. I waited a year for the inevitable. There is no dealer colusion here.

My point is any specialty limited edition car that any dealer is selling should hold its value more than the same type model without the limited edition specialty tag.
A 427 C6 is not a Super Snake. Better comparison would be a loaded GT500. We bought a '12 Shelby GT500 vert with SVT package, which is as loaded as you can get one. It had ~10k miles on it. MSRP was close to $70k. We paid just over $50k last fall. Unless it's a very limited production, very special car (which your Vette isn't) it's gonna depreciate a bunch when you drive it off the lot because it's now a used car, not a new car.

Corvettes are not an investment unless you have 50 years to hold onto one. Sure they may depreciate a little less than a Cruze but they are not rare. The C7 will depreciate just as fast as the C6. Nothing new about that.

I know he mentioned to me they got 8k more for the last one they sold similar to mine.

As for what I would be trading it for isnt very expensive but still 77k.
You should hve shopped a lot more you could have bought the same 427 60th vert at MacMulkin in NH for 77K

Furthermore...If you believe the Ford Dealer called the Chevy Dealer for a price on your 427 Vert...I have a bridge I would l like to sell you. The Simple fact is....Dealers DON'T call other dealers for prices. There are prices posted on the internet Auction sites and NADA books. And, OF COURSE THE DEALER BUYS WHOLESALE AND SELLS RETAIL......GEEEESH thats what he does and how he stays in business. You take on a multimillion dollar buisness and buy wholesale and sell BELOW wholesale like some of you what him to do and see how long he sticks around.
