I took delivery of a 2008 Z06 last week. Of course I never checked for a Navigation DVD. Yes sir there isn't one.
Will someone direct me to a site for the DVD. I see them from 79.00 to 299.00.
Any suggestions?

Is there a big difference between the DVD from a 2005 and a 2012??

Very little difference between the various versions that are out there. The primary difference appears to be the inclusion of newer POI's, and other paid commercial inclusions, and some (just some) of the newer subdivisions and streets. I've been through three versions and there is no difference in graphics or basic maps (that I could tell).

I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences with the upgrades. The one positive with the last upgrade that I purchased was that it went from 2 DVD's down to one (version 9).

Depends where you are driving. A 20 miles stretch of Interstate was added in the Chicago area that allows you to detour around some pretty bad traffic. It took a couple of years (updates are always somewhat behind), but that's now in the Nav DVD and is very convenient.

If you buy used, be sure it's the correct part # for a Corvette, many other GM discs are not compatible. Some years (2009-2011???) there were 2 discs, now they've got it all back onto one.

I got a new 2013 GS a month ago and it has version 9.00. I also checked the website and that is the latest one shown.

How do you know which version of the disk you have? Is there a menu on the Nav system that gives you this info?

I don't know about a menu on the NAV System.
I bought an original 2008 Corvette Navigation System Owners Manual and Map DVD Set (2 discs) from another Forum Member.
It is Version 7.00
GM Part# 20980238

Any Luck here? I just bought an 2009 convertible and my disk said version 5, so I assume I am way behind. IS the newest version 9?
