Just a thought i had while having dinner. I think you should start looking for your own vette in about, let's say 4-6 weeks because the second you give that to him you are going to miss it, and if you think you have the bug now (after one hour of buying it), wait till you give it up and can't open the garage door at 2 in the AM to give you a nice dream till 7 am..... just a warning for the next 2 months....

Label
Had the same label problem on my 05. Found the replacement label at local Chevrolet dealer. The part # is 10323111. Hope this helps. Congrats to your dad on his 65th and ownership of the corvette.

Love that you can do this for your dad; however...
I would give it to him now IMO. Life is short and you never know what's around the corner.
The most I've done for my dad is to give him $1600 cash with the agreement he would spend it on something fun for him and my step mom. It wasn't any special occasion, I just didn't see them for a while. The expression on their faces were priceless. I gave it to them right when I dropped them off at the airport to go home.

WOW I guess I'm a failure as a son. I've been trying to think of something to give my mom for her retirement and I sure wasn't thinking that big. I hope you make your dads day, and you two get plenty of time to enjoy the car together for many years to come.

Wow, you are a son to be proud of!! Obviously your dad taught you values, morals, respect for others as you were growing up. Speaking as a dad, this would send me into a heart attack for sure.
You are an example of what a great family should be!!!!!!!
