2013 gs
After seeing the C7 I am thinking that I should have waited until the unveil. I bought a GS in Dec. and I am wondering how much of a bath I would take on a trade-in ?

I love deer hunting and I would probably use it for a deer blind before selling it for that price. $3,000 for a gun $50,000 for a 4-wheel drive truck, why not splurge on a GS for a blind. I may have a problem finding a tree to hold it. My kids probably would get pissed but its my money. There is NO instructions on money on how to spend it.

Given the prices these are selling for, I'm thinking it might hurt.
Especially considering allocation is limited for the c7 for the first run.
That's why I jumped now, figure I can enjoy owning my dream car now for a couple years, and then look into getting a c7.
I tell people at work, if you always wait for the newest thing, you will never have the opportunity to enjoy it in the first place.

Personally, I'd wait until seeing the C7 on the road for awhile. I've seen the car in person and I'm not digging the rear end (although the interior is gorgeous). I suspect that the rear end will be revamped in year 3 or 4. Hold your horses for awhile. The C6 is still an amazing car. I'll purchase the C7 once it's "fine tuned". Look at the progress GM designers made between 2005-2013, especially 2008 and 2010.

Chevy dealers are salivating over the coming of the C7. Some are already proclaiming that they are doing us a huge Mother Theresa-style favor by only charging MSRP. At MSRP they laugh all the way to the bank -- and after they steal the trades of those who must have the C7 immediately, it's Vegas, Hawaii and the Cayman Islands, sucker.

I bought a 13 in September. The 13 was a great deal. If you think the prices will fall on the 13's, imagine what they'll fall on a 6, 7 or 8. Now you have the last year of the C6's and if you keep the miles down you'lll do ok if you sell in a couple years. It will take a while for C7 prices to drop and there will always be folks that want to stay closer to $40k than $50K.

Not sure at this point, but you WILL take a bath, too bad because that C7 is HOT.

I'm at the opposite spot right now. I like the GS better than the new C7 but see a significant drop in price coming soon. As much as I want a GS now, most of the decent ones are priced at least in the mid 40's or higher. With a base 7 having more hp and the new factor starting at 52k, I can't see the GS owners realistically asking anywhere near their current prices. I agree with the others that you should just sit back and enjoy what you have.
