I made mine with parts I had. Cost $0. My city is giving tickets for no plate (raising cash) so I was forced into installing it after seven years without one.

I do here in WI, plate & holder are in the rear just in case.
Story is: "Got backed into knocking it off, have yet to re-install."
My story and I'm sticking to it.

Good news is after passing numerous LEOs in all kinds of areas here in WI, cops haven't given me a second glance.

Yes I thought about that, but could not pass on the photo opportunity.

Another vote for Top Flight. I have the removable one with matching frame. The best solution when you have to run a front plate. Just my .02

I went with Top Flight....don't really like the front plate being displayed but I'm at that time in life where eliminating life's hassles is a prime directive....so worrying about getting stopped isn't worth the hassle...........

I never had a front plate on my '57 Chevy, Z4 or Corvette.

That said, at my age now I don't feel like messing around with it. I got the Top Flight Reproductions plate mount.

You know what? You can't see it while you're driving the car.

Thanks for the tip!
