I swapped out the 6 CD changer radio(standard on 3lt in 2009) and put in a Pioneer Z130 nav unit. My chimes sound just terrible, not sure why, but I can live with it. All of the features of the radio work as advertised, the backup camera is nice, but the blue tooth with my HTC phone is terrible. People cannot hear me on the other end and they say it just sounds like static. It is really uselesseddie

If you have a '09 or later model, you will lose your factory bluetooth. And the nav integration with the HUD will be lost for all models. Your aftermarket unit probably is bluetooth capable, so you'll get that back. (I have a Kenwood nav/audio unit in my '08 and the bluetooth works great).

Well, you'll need to purchase an interface module (PAC OS-2C Bose, for example) to retain your OnStar, factory chimes and RAP. You'll also need to include a GM antenna adapter and an interface module to retain (or add) steering wheel audio controls, if you want to use those. You'll need a SiriusXM tuner if your new unit is satellite radio capable and you want to subscribe. You'll need a dash kit (Metra has one that is a good match to the factory bezel) and an iPod cable is a nice addition, and you already have the back-up camera. That should about cover it, I think.

nothing to be worried about
as long as you have the correct items to install and its wired correctly it will be much better than stock.
The chimes can be adjusted on the module for volume

I replaced the stock nav unit in my 06 with a Pioneer unit and loved it. I just traded for a 2013 and I'm having it put in the new car. The HUD integration didn't work but that was a non issue for me. Bluetooth worked great. It's a shame these factory units are so bad.
