I wanted Crystal Red with chrome ZR1 wheels and the 1SC interior was a plus. Throw in the little things like wheel locks, GM wind deflector, battery protect and the fact that I didn't have to drive 10 hours to do the deal (85 miles) made me a happy camper.
Incidentally, this is the first Corvette convertible (I'm an old guy and always called them roadsters) I've had in the family since the '65 Corvette I purchased from a friend when I got home from Vietnam in '67.

427 Forever!!!
What a gorgeous 427!! Absolutely love the color combo, and you have a classic, Kick A** Vette. I gave a lot of consideration before I chose to buy the "427" vs the "C7", but I like the old school, classic appearance and the K.A. Motor with six speeds, and not everyone has one (one year production)!
I really didn't want the wiz bang rev match sh*t, and I haven't even reached 6th speed yet (not broken in) so I'm sure I don't need 7 gears (in a manual).
Don't get me wrong the C7 is a beautiful car and has a lot of technological improvements, but this "427" is raw unadulterated, fun in a good way, driver's car, that kicks A**, dosen't take names, & a real sports car!
Great pic, by the way! Enjoy!

I just had to add to this that we spent the afternoon cruising the back roads of Wisconsin farmland this afternoon (first chance with the top down) and we found that OEM air dam/draft deflector (whatever that plug in device behind the seat is called) a joke. As long-time Harley riders we are used to the effects of "riding in the wind" and found this device little more than a placebo to satisfy some fair-weather driver that their precious locks wouldn't get tossed a bit. That device will never be attached to our 427 convertible again...it will be pristine for the next owner.

As a fellow Harley rider (FLHTCUSE7), I was thinking the same thing. Behind the windshield top down even in gusty winds, I was right a home, and thinking "Man this is heaven!" I guess being on a bike so many years is like "Where's the wind?" Actually it's perfect and I haven't had my top up since I bought the car (California) a couple of weeks ago, except when parking.
