NPP Switch Location Pics
EDIT - Pictures from my custom installation I finally decided on. Thanks for everyone who pitched in pictures and/or suggestions!
ORIGINAL POST:
I simply can't live without some sort of control over the NPP exhaust system, as many or even most NPP owners can agree with. I've already got a new Mild2Wild wireless unit, but I'm really starting to consider doing something more "hardwired" so that I don't have to keep another FOB around. I would have initially preferred to use my visor, but of course the Car2U units aren't M2W friendly...and i'm not buying a different wireless unit. There's also a part of me that really would like to have a manual switch somewhere less obvious or intrusive but still within reach. I'll more than likely keep my car in Mild-mode most often, meaning that although I prefer the zero drain mode of wiring my M2W, i'll be forced to use a drain wiring meathod since it is the only mode that starts you in your last setting vs. wild...yet another reason to do a manual switch.
I've heard of tons of different locations, and even seen a picture here or there, but this thread is really just devoted to pics of installs. I would like to see the finished location of custom installs for switches for the NPP exhaust. I'm already well educated on how to do the mod, I just don't know where or what I want to put somewhere.
So let's see what you all have did in terms of your switches. Heck, even if you mounted your fobs somewhere, I wouldn't mind seeing it.
Bring 'um on!

Can't help with pics as I have the mild2wild with fobs, one on the visor the other in the ashtray. But two styles I did consider was the dead petal switch but declined as I figgured I'd be hitting it accidentaly when not cluching. The other was the MAN **** built into the shifter, but again declinded as I figgured I'd hit it accidentally while shifting.
Sunsetorangecreations has some slick install methods that incorporate the driver door lock or the reset button.

Yeah I'd previously heard of both methods, and I found that both could be too easy to bump in day to day driving. If the dead pedal was another 2-3" longer I probably would have went that route but I really felt like there wasn't a whole lot of room to spare in there. The shifter install just seems WAY too easy to accidently bump on a manual tranny. Furthermore, a location like that seems like it would be much better utilized for something that is more frequently used, or something that needs to be pushed at that "perfect" time. Neither of which I'm thinking would be the case with an exhaust switch.
I'd heard of sunset's offerings before and none of them jumped out with me. Furthermore, I'm not looking to buy any more units when a simple $20 mod will work flawlessly and won't require any batteries to be changed every year or so. If anything, I may possibly be selling my brand-new M2W if I opt to go with a hardwired install. Location is going to be key tho...

I won't post a pic because you already have the switch in your car. My Sunset Orange Elite uses the door lock switch and is programmable.
I had one that used the reset button on the dash but I prefer the door lock button.

Mine is the DASH unit from SunsetOrangeCreations and used the reset button. It also came with a Fob which is never used because the reset button is so convenient, no searching for the Fob. No picture as it would be just your stock display/buttons.

I'll second the post above....although the pictures make it seem like that might be near you leg, if you check out on your car, there's a nice panel under that that you can't physically touch with your leg (i.e. impossible to accidentally hit the switch). In addition, it's impossible to see....only you will know it's there, and it's very easy to reach. Also plenty of room above the panel for the switches back side. I used a coat hangar to fish the wires from the passenger side fuse box over the torque tube and into the driver's side....easy to just run them over the dash support trusses:

I really don't get all the discussions on the M2W switch. What could be easier than having it on the dead pedal with just a flick of the foot to activate it. Never have to reach for anything can never use it by mistake and you never see it or worry about batteries, fobs and the like. I wouldn't have mine any other way. You guys are really making a project out of nothing.

And when your driving do you have to reach or extend your arm to use it? Or even take your hands off the wheel or shifter? I have to do none of the above when I'm driving.

I velcored both my NPP fob and remote garage door opener in the pocket of the drivers door. Both easily reached, takes up hardly any room and out of sight.
