I had 2...
Both were faster then almost all american cars of the day:
1989 Supercharged MR2
1995 Twin Turbo RX7.
Oddly enough, I always felt the C5 was loosely based on that style RX7, from the mirrors, double bubble roof and general lines of the hood!
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like the sound and feel of a V8, but that TT RX7 was a badass! It also still holds my personal record of fastest I've driven a car, 168MPH. Unfortunately, build quality was horrid and it was soon gone!

2003-2012 - 1998 Jaguar XJR 4.0L supercharged V8 (Wife's DD modified with Brembo brakes)

When I first got married my wife was driving my 396 Chevelle to work every day and it was a beast with no power steering so I bought her a 1970 240Z. She loved it. Green with a 4 speed.
I bought a 2005 350 z and it was OK but it was one of those cars that I never felt an attachment to.
Wife is still a ricer and this is her favorite now. ES350. It is one nice car though. My favorite on the right of course.

Absolutely. Never "riced" out but all Japanese imports. 98 Eclipse GSX, 04 Mazda RX8(just traded in for the Vette) and a 05 Subaru STI(450awhp pump gas). All were stock on the outside except the RX had black wheels. Nothing ricey, no big wings(except the stock STI wing), no "altezza tail lights", just fun cars.

First off I have not taken the time to read all post here, but when you say rider, I don't think of standard imports, I think of the imports that have the fart cans and wings and the other items they put on the cars.
Now with that said, NO I was never a rice, but I don't hold it against anyone that may have been. After all we are all of different generation, so it really depends on when you first started to enjoy cars.
I will admit that when I started, there were no imports. My first car was a 348 Chevy Impala. In the early sixties drag racing was king in the Chicago area so that is how I grew up. The real beginning of the muscle car and pony car era. I had the '58, then a '55 and then a '62 4212 Pontiac. In to the Navy in '66 and in '68 got my first Corvette, a '66 BB 427/425, so as you can see after that start, it would have been hard to go Rice.

To be honest I really miss my 1996 Dodge Stealth R/T (non-turbo)
Yes it had a Dodge label but underneath it was all Mitsubishi!
It was great fun watching a friend of mine get all upset because even though his '98 Camaro SS would run off and leave me in a straight line, he could never get away through the corners

The closest I have come to being a ricer was pre corvette days when I had first an 83, then an 86 rustang 5 liter gt.
A few rustangs, two firebirds( 68,74) and 86 trans am, five corvettes, a half dozen f150's, eddie b broncos, and a 68 cougar have all gone through my garage.

Go Canes!
The closest I came was when I bought a 2 year old Lexus SC 430 in 1999. I had the car for a few years in favor of a truck.
At least it had a V-8!!!
NO RICE FOR ME!!

Burning Brakes
In the late 90s I had a 96 300ZX Twinturbo modded with increased boost, intake and exhaust with 4.5" tips, and of course a Stillen sticker on it.. I had the stock wheels and no body kit on the car so I never thought of the the car as being "riced out" or me being a ricer.

I was for about 1 year. But I quickly moved from the 350Z into my first Corvette when I figured out the downfalls of a 350z on a road course track.
The G35 was my daily driver.
I now have a G37 as my daily driver though.

I have owned a 1st, 2nd & 3rg generation RX-7 and an RX-8. One of the biggest reasons I got a C6 Corvette is that it reminded me so much of my R1 RX-7.
