I had a Prowler too from 2003 until last month when I sold it and bought the CRM GS vert. I NEVER saw more than 2-3 per year in the 9 years I owned it. Plus I sold it for almost what I paid for it and had a lot of laughs along the way. I wish I could have kept it and the vette, but that would not have been practical.

I think the rear 3/4 view of the Prowler was always the best angle.

Well, I have had many Corvettes, Camaro's, Trans Am's and other performance and luxury cars. Many of my cars have got a lot of attention. However, the most attention I ever got of all my cars, was with my new Black 1986 Buick Regal T-Type that I ordered in October of 1985. I couldn't go anywhere with that car without getting a thumbs up or comment. This lasted right till the time I traded it in on a new Vette a year later.

There's no way I'd remember all of the cars/trucks and bikes I've owned and driven.

A few of my head turners other than my current Z...

1996 Viper GTS

2001 Viper GTS

1996 Corvtte Grand Sport #804

2008 Shelby GT500

Though I enjoyed just about every car I ever owned, none has been what most of us think of as a "head turner". Here's the list in order; all were bought new.

1973 Pontiac Grand Am
1973 Buick Century Luxus (455)
1975 Mustang II Mach 1 ()
1977 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ
1979 Pontiac Bonneville coupe
1984 Pontiac Trans Am
1987 Dodge Omni (my daily commuter and a surprisingly enjoyable car)
1989 Volvo 740 GL
1992 Volvo 940 Turbo
2000 Audi A6 2.8 quattro
2001 VW GTI
2003 Audi 4.2 quattro
2003 Mercury Mountaineer AWD
2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD
2005 Corvette coupe (present)
2007 Volvo XC90 3.2 AWD
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited AWD
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4 Hemi (present)

You win. There is a fellow in my hood who collects vintage hearses and parks them on the street. There is absolutely nothing more noticeable.

For me it was a 2011 Gallardo. I have to admit, that thing turned heads like crazy. I would routinely get 'squeezed in' in traffic just driving on the highway. It's nice but waaay too much attention to be a practical vehicle.

First car that comes to mind was my 1963 Jaguar E-type roadster. That car attracted so much attention from everyone.

However after thinking about the question, I realized that the most attention ever was when a friend and I were participating in old car tours. Brass-era cars, like a 1910 Overland open touring car and the ultimate attention getter a 1912 American LaFrance fire truck. Everyone loves an old fire truck, even if they are a beast to drive and shift (no syncromesh in those days).

I love that Jag model. That being said, it's a car mechanically scary new or used. Off-warranty, they are nearly given away, or the owners hope they are stolen for an insurance claim. I'm impressed by the Corvette Forum members who report great reliability at 75K+ miles!

Owned more than 30 different cars over the years, might be over 40 but I can't remember them all. Diven hundreds of different vehicles (just the over the road type here). The one that turned the most heads was my V-8 Vega in high school...mainly because it was loud and would pull the front wheels under hard acceleration (was a ton of fun to drive too).

All I can say about your Camaro is *****! When I was in my early early 20s imports were all the rage...so that car that turned the most heads was my 90 civic SI hatchback with full bodykit (painted), cross drilled slotted brake rotors, fiberglass hood, molded sides, camber kit, dc sports headers, tenzo R intake, 2 and qrtr inch piping, 17" axis wheels powder coated white to compliment my blue paint, projector headlights, etc. etc. all for a 16.9 qrtr mile time!!! Lol but it had good audio and turned heads..wow I've come a long way and it was hard to admit all this to you guys but I had to!

too many cars to remember. I guess the ones that turned the most heads:

1964 Mack Fire Truck (open cab) It had windshield wipers on the outside and inside of the windshield. 5 speed manual.

1972 Ward LaFrance Fire Truck-5 speed manual with a Detroit Diesel

As far as cars go...Probably my 1973 black Corvette and the 06 LeMans Blue Z06.

Have never owned or driven a Ferrarri or Lambo, but would love to drive one some day.

1971 Opel GT

1964 Jaguar XKE Roadster
1971 Triumph TR6
1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK2
1967 Corvette 427 Coupe
1970 Camaro Z28
1966 Griffith 200
1973 Pontiac Trans Am SD455
1976 Trans Am 455
1978 Trans Am WS6 T/A 6.6
1967 Mustang GT/CS 390
1989 Saleen Mustang hatchback S/C
1995 Saleen Mustang S351R
2005 Audi S6
2007 BMW 535
2010 Mercedes C63 AMG sedan
2012 Mercedes C300 Sport 4Matic sedan
2012 Ford F350 Lariat ext cab 4x4 Power Stroke diesel
2010 Corvette Grand Sport coupe
1971 Datsun 240Z
There may be a couple I missed in there, but the 2 cars that drew the most attention were the '95 Saleen S351R, one of only 2 like it, and the '66 Griffith 200, for those that have never heard of this, it's a Brit built 1,900lb short wheelbase 2 seater with a 289 Hi-Po Ford and 4 speed, very nasty little car, basically an early TVR on steroids.

Got the opportunity to drive a Lamborghini murcielago a couple of years back. That turned every head I passed. Only drove it for about a half hour but it was the best half hour behind the wheel I've ever had!
