Default Question after first oil change

After changing oil i reset the oil life remainder and it only went to 99%. Is this normal? Should it have reset to 100%? I used Mobil 1 oil.

TIA

Normal. I have heard of a way to have it display 100% but I forget and it changes to 99% immediately.

Just did my oil change approximately 2 weeks ago for the first time. When I reset the oil life all I could get was 99% also.

Let us know if you get the oil smell.

If you reset it with the engine running it goes to 99%. If you go to the accessory mode (hold ACC/Stop until dash lights up) and reset it goes to 100%.

Mine too. In addition to the DIC oil life reading, I also log the odo reading and date of change.

Odd, I changed my oil last week and reset the OLM with the engine running and mine went to 100% and it took about a day's worth of driving before it went down to 99%.

It's the US-Canada Exchange Rate.

LOL!

My car is a US car though, it originated in Florida (and someday it's going to go back there with me as I intend on buying a winter home there when I retire)

Just reset it with the car off and it still only goes to 99%. I haven't actually driven the car since the oil change. Does that make a difference?

OK - send me $25 buck and I'll issue you a Certificate that says you're 100%. Better ?

Framing is an additional $20 bucks plus $30 bucks shipping. So your total comes to $75 bucks . . . just send me $100 bucks and I'll throw in a genuine imitation gold foil seal . . . . AND I'll make the Certificate good for your next 2 oil changes !!!!!
