Default Got A Cool Souvenir At Long Beach Grand Prix Today

I took my son to the Long Beach Grand Prix practice day today. Parked in the Corvette Coral with about 60 of our Corvette brethren. The Corvette Racing Team came out for an autograph session, and I ended up with a way cool souvenir.

The drivers were all great guys and I took my time thanking each and every one of them for the autograph. I also got Doug Fehan's (the team's Program Manager) on there as well.

I must admit, I was a little leery at first pulling off my fuel rail cover there in the parking lot, but once I put it back in the car, I thought it looked really cool!

Hey, does anybody have any idea what I can do to protect them? I was thinking maybe some kind of clear paint from a rattle can....but I don't want to have one of the FRC's be more glossy or matte than the other. I've searched some other threads, but am seeing custom paint job type of things where they've done both FRCs so they're matching anyway.

I haven't really power washed the engine bay as of yet, but I do vacuum the rocks out and wipe it all down with detail spray all the time.

Anybody have any idea how I can best protect those?

Buy a replacement cover for everyday use and put that one on for "show". Then you'll have it forever, even when the car has moved on.

I know that you were kidding, but it would be nice if they would do this and donate to the St. Jude's auction.
