If you buying some garbage like a Prius then get it in an awful color like Carlisle Blue.
Otherwise if you are inclined for a neutral color get one of the silvers.

I saw Carlisle Blue GS online and I made a remark to my wife that I had never seen a Vette in that color. The online pics (the car was for sale) were stunning. I researched the color a bit and found out the reasoning behind the special paint color and that there were very few made in that color. I think they made about 3 zr1's or some ridiculously low number. I then saw that a local dealer had one in stock and went to look at it. I thought it looked like someone forgot to paint it. I did not like the color at all and I think that you would grow tired of looking at it. My opinion of course and you do have to keep the boss happy. That I totally agree with. Hope you didn't get hurt in the crash and good luck buying a new one.

To each his own, but I personally think it's a great color. When you see it in person it really does look different than in pictures. So don't judge until you've seen one in the flesh. I like unique colors, I wish my C5 was something unique as I do get tired of the fact that there are so many black Corvettes just like mine out there. I would have rather had something like Fairway Green, another un loved color but one that I like a lot.

I love the color but to answer your question I have not heard of any problems with the paint. I am sure there are some GM guys on here that you might be able to get more info from.
I don't like the fact that the cars have gone through auctions. Would make me nervous. Good look in your search and don't feel bad abut wrecking your wife's car. Now she gets a new one

well i think i figured out part of the mystery--turns out a friend of a friend owns a Chevy dealer in south ga.Spoke with him and he said if theres a new color many times the execs cars, which these were, are that color.Since the color wasnt a big seller (only 42) and the were on corporate books they all went to auction at same time.Plus he told me that they also will show the cars at Malls,Arenas etc.We did look at one today, and its really a retro color, and since the 60s were my time, we like it.Still weird though how theres 4 in Atlanta.BTW also found out theres a 7K rebate on new 2012 vettes, that have never been titled

I've only seen one, and thought it was a good color.
I tend to darker shades, but the CB color was a nice blue-ish version of a silver, as I registered it in my mind.
I would not worry about the auction if it is that new, as it should still have warranty, and is probably even CPO'd by Chevrolet/GM.
Mine 2011 vette was originally a show car, according to the RPO codes. It has extended CPO and full maintenance warranties, which show up when the dealership checks the VIN.
Good luck, enjoy the new one.

If the local dealer here would have worked with me on pricing, I would have had a 4lt transport very in this color. They cherished it and didn't want to deal, so I got a nrb 427vert instead. I like the color and say go for it!

Personally, I love the color. It just didn't sell as well as they thought and probably have some left over. Go for it.
